Ripple’s XRP Solidifies Role in Regulated U.S. ETFs
In a Tuesday tweet, Bitwise highlighted XRP’s growing role in institutional portfolios and its increasing presence in U.S. crypto ETFs. The firm noted, “XRP is a crypto asset with the potential to reshape how money moves worldwide.”
XRP Joins Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF
XRP recently became the third-largest position in the Bitwise 10 Crypto Index ETF (NYSE: BITW), marking a milestone in its adoption cycle. The ETF, which tracks the top ten crypto assets weighted by market capitalization, now lists XRP as a core component.
As of December 9, 2025, BITW reported $1.25 billion in assets under management, with XRP representing 5.17% of the fund. Bitcoin leads with 74.3%, followed by Ethereum at 15.54%, and Solana at 3.06%. Other assets, including Cardano, Chainlink, Litecoin, Sui, Avalanche, and Polkadot, each hold less than 1%.
Bitwise describes BITW as a tool for investors seeking broad, diversified exposure without needing to predict which crypto assets will dominate next. The fund applies technical, liquidity, custody, and regulatory screenings, is monitored daily, and rebalanced monthly. XRP’s inclusion reflects the firm’s view of the token’s renewed momentum and industry relevance.
Institutional Demand Boosts XRP ETFs
XRP ETFs are approaching a $1 billion cumulative inflow milestone, with less than $60 million remaining. According to Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg, the growth signals strong institutional conviction, noting that his firm launched the first pure XRP spot ETF in response to early demand.
McClurg also linked XRP’s ETF momentum to Ripple’s new stablecoin, RLUSD, which he expects to surpass existing stablecoins under Ripple’s leadership. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse emphasized that XRP’s rapid growth demonstrates both longstanding demand for regulated crypto exposure and continued community engagement, which drives new capital into traditional platforms.
Cementing XRP’s Position in the Market
With a top-three placement in BITW, consistent ETF inflows, and growing institutional interest, XRP is solidifying its position as one of the fastest-growing regulated crypto investment products in the U.S., reflecting both broader adoption and renewed confidence in the Ripple ecosystem.
