Grayscale Pioneers Spot LINK ETF as US Crypto ETF Approvals Surge
Grayscale to Launch First US Spot Chainlink (LINK) ETF This Week – Crypto asset management giant Grayscale is preparing to launch the United States’ first spot Chainlink (LINK) exchange-traded fund (ETF) this week, according to ETF Institute co-founder Nate Geraci. The move will convert Grayscale’s existing Chainlink private trust into an ETF, opening a new avenue for investors seeking exposure to LINK’s spot price.

Geraci confirmed the launch via X on Sunday, noting: “Set to launch this week… First spot LINK ETF. Grayscale will be able to uplist/convert Chainlink private trust to ETF.”
Timing and Market Context
Bloomberg Intelligence estimates the launch will occur on December 2, as shared by senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. Balchunas also highlighted the broader trend in crypto ETFs, projecting a “steady supply” of potentially over 100 new spot crypto ETFs in the next six months. According to him, five spot crypto ETFs are set to debut in the coming six days alone.
Product Structure and Returns
The Grayscale Chainlink Trust ETF will track the spot price of LINK while also generating returns from LINK staking. Originally formed in late 2020, the trust’s conversion into an ETF represents a five-year evolution in Grayscale’s offerings. The firm has been notably bullish on the Chainlink ecosystem, describing it in a recent research report as a “critical connective tissue” linking the crypto sector to traditional finance.
US Crypto ETF Landscape Expands
This launch comes amid a surge in crypto ETF approvals in the US, following changes in SEC leadership. In 2025 alone, ETFs tied to Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE) have received regulatory approval. Grayscale itself recently launched spot XRP and DOGE ETFs, further cementing its position as a key player in the US crypto ETF market.
With the debut of its spot LINK ETF, Grayscale is not only expanding its product suite but also offering investors a direct way to access one of the most prominent decentralized oracle networks in the crypto space.
