Humanity Protocol Secures $1.1 Billion Valuation Following $20 Million Funding Round

Humanity Protocol, a blockchain firm specializing in identity verification, announced on Monday that it has achieved a fully diluted valuation of $1.1 billion. This milestone comes after the company successfully raised $20 million in a funding round co-led by Pantera Capital and Jump Crypto.

The company is developing a cutting-edge system that uses palm scans to verify the authenticity of online accounts, ensuring they belong to real individuals. The newly acquired funds will be directed toward expanding the launch of its product in the coming months.

“The protocol enables individuals to prove their humanity without disclosing personal details. This addresses critical issues such as bots, fake accounts, and online fraud,” said Terence Kwok, founder of Humanity Protocol, in a statement to Reuters.

A fully diluted valuation reflects the hypothetical total value of a company if all potential shares, options, and other equity instruments were to be issued.

With the increasing prevalence of artificial intelligence and related concerns over deepfakes, digital identity verification companies like Humanity Protocol are positioned for significant growth. The ability to combat fraud and ensure authentic interactions online is becoming ever more critical.

Kwok also expressed optimism about the regulatory environment, particularly as blockchain and cryptocurrency-focused startups anticipate renewed interest and support. The return of President Donald Trump to the White House has fueled expectations of a more favorable business climate. Trump has previously shown support for the blockchain industry, pledging to reduce regulatory hurdles.

“I’m enthusiastic about the innovative developments that could flourish under this administration,” Kwok added. “A pro-business approach has the potential to accelerate blockchain-based solutions and attract greater investment into the space.”

This funding round and the momentum behind Humanity Protocol highlight the growing demand for secure, transparent, and efficient digital identity verification solutions in an increasingly AI-driven world.
