Internet game, The Sandbox will begin the first of a three-part LAND sale in collaboration with several well-known companies.

What is Sandbox?

Similar to Roblox or Minecraft, The Sandbox is a crypto-powered game that uses blockchain technology to give gamers ownership of in-game assets via NFTs and the opportunity to trade virtual land on platforms like OpenSea.

What is LAND?

The foundation of The Sandbox game is LAND, an NFT-ified piece of virtual real estate. Similar to traditional real estate, users can buy plots of land and use them for hosting experiences or for trading on marketplaces. A total of 166,464 LANDs are available in the game, and each one is currently worth 1.119 Ethereum.

There will be 1,967 LANDs up for auction at the upcoming sale, including 50 estates, 695 regular LANDs, 134 premium LANDs, and 19 1-of-1 pieces of LAND. Standard and premium LAND sales will allocate using a blind voting process. Blind voting may give users a chance to purchase a prestigious virtual LAND, live next door to celebrities like Paris Hilton or Snoop Dogg, or even open a club close to Cipriani.
