Crypto Market Liquidations Exceed $500M: Bitcoin Leads with $70M
In the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market saw liquidations totaling more than $500 million. Coinglass data released on Sunday indicates that there were 197,551 traders with $120 million in short positions and US$380 million in long holdings. Of these liquidations, Bitcoin alone was responsible for $70.4 million.

The contributions from Dogecoin and Ethereum were $35.3 million and $43.4 million, respectively. On Friday, Bitcoin‘s price hit $99,320, just shy of the $100,000 threshold. Now, Bitcoin is trading at $98,289, so it still has a very high chance of breaking the $100,000 mark.
