CMB International’s USD Fund Joins BlackRock and Franklin on Solana Blockchain
CMB International – In a groundbreaking move for regulated tokenized finance in Asia, CMB International Asset Management (CMBIAM) and Singapore-based RWA exchange DigiFT have launched the CMB International USD Money Market Fund as a tokenized product on Solana, Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Plume. This marks the first publicly offered money market fund on Solana recognized by regulators in both Hong Kong and Singapore.
Multi-Chain Access and Real-Time Liquidity
Targeted exclusively at accredited investors in Singapore, the fund is now live on DigiFT’s platform, offering interoperability across four blockchain networks. Investors can subscribe or redeem units using either traditional fiat currencies or blockchain-based stablecoins, making it highly flexible and appealing for modern finance participants.
DigiFT handles the on-chain issuance and distribution, while CMBIAM manages the underlying assets. Integration support comes from OnChain, a Solana-based RWA service provider. This layered infrastructure ensures robust and compliant performance in line with regulatory expectations.
DigiFT’s proprietary smart contracts enable real-time redemption on-chain, eliminating the need for end-of-day processing or manual settlements. This real-time liquidity model is a game-changer for institutional investors seeking efficiency and transparency.
Solana’s Expanding Role in Tokenized Finance
The launch follows the footsteps of major players like Franklin Templeton, which earlier this year brought its FOBXX fund to Solana after initially launching on Stellar. Similarly, BlackRock’s BUIDL, managed in collaboration with Securitize, expanded to Solana in March, further boosting the network’s relevance in the tokenized treasury space.
With a growing list of high-profile funds integrating with Solana, the network is quickly becoming a preferred destination for regulated, tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) in the Asia-Pacific region.
CMBI’s offering not only underscores this trend but also cements Solana’s role in the next generation of digital asset finance—bridging traditional markets and blockchain with regulatory clarity.
