This rally comes as the US House of Representatives passed three major crypto bills, sparking renewed investor confidence and institutional interest.
Bitcoin Reclaims $120K, But ETH and XRP Steal the Show
Bitcoin (BTC) climbed back near $120,000 on Thursday, continuing its steady rise. But the spotlight is on Ether (ETH) and XRP. Ether jumped 8% to surpass $3,600 for the first time since January, marking a massive 40% surge in just two weeks. Meanwhile, XRP surged nearly 20% in a single day, hitting a new 2025 high of $3.64 in Friday’s early trading.
Regulatory Tailwinds Fuel Market Optimism
Analysts say the momentum is being driven by powerful legislative moves in the US. The recent approval of the GENIUS Act, along with former President Trump’s plan to open retirement accounts to crypto investments, could unlock trillions in institutional capital.
“Traders have entered a risk-on mode due to bullish regulatory and institutional developments,” said Nassar Al Achkar, Chief Strategy Officer at CoinW exchange.
Crypto Market Inches Closer to Tech Giants
CoinMarketCap places total crypto market cap at $3.8 trillion, while TradingView estimates $3.9 trillion—both higher than the previous peak of $3.73 trillion in December. Reaching $4 trillion would position the crypto market just behind Nvidia, which recently became the world’s most valuable publicly traded company at $4.2 trillion.
The Next Phase?
With regulatory clarity improving and institutional capital on the move, analysts believe this could be the beginning of a new, sustained bull run in crypto.
