Smarter Web Company, a leading UK-based institutional investor, has once again expanded its Bitcoin treasury, adding 325 BTC worth £27.15 million ($36.45 million) on July 16, 2025. The acquisition price averaged £83,525 ($112,157) per bitcoin, marking a strategic continuation of the firm’s long-term accumulation plan.
Significant Growth in Bitcoin Treasury
This recent purchase follows closely on the heels of another major buy just days earlier, when the company acquired 275 BTC at an average price of $108,182. With the latest addition, Smarter Web now holds a total of 1,600 BTC, placing it comfortably among the top 25 institutional Bitcoin holders worldwide. The company’s average acquisition price stands at £79,534 (approximately $106,798), while Bitcoin’s current market price hovers near $118,700 — reflecting an approximate 11% gain on its holdings so far.
Institutional Bitcoin Adoption on the Rise
Smarter Web’s aggressive accumulation aligns with a broader trend of institutional investors recognizing Bitcoin as a valuable long-term asset. Since 2023, the company has accepted Bitcoin payments and steadily built its treasury as part of a ten-year growth strategy.
Meanwhile, in Europe, France-based Blockchain Group has emerged as the continent’s first dedicated Bitcoin treasury company. Other regions, including the U.S. and Japan, are also witnessing growing institutional participation, fueling a surge in Bitcoin adoption globally.

Bitcoin itself has maintained strong momentum, recently surpassing the $123,000 mark. At press time, the cryptocurrency trades at around $119,300, up nearly 3% in the last 24 hours, demonstrating ongoing confidence in the market despite broader volatility.
