World Liberty Financial Boosts Crypto Portfolio: Trump’s Crypto Project Purchased Aave, LINK, TRX, and ENA
Approximately $112.8 million worth of cryptocurrency was purchased by Donald Trump’s DeFi project, World Liberty Financial, on his first day in office. Trump’s family-backed cryptocurrency project said in its X post on Monday that it had further diversified its treasury holdings by buying six different types of tokens, including wrapped bitcoin and ether valued at $47 million and $47 million, respectively. Additionally, World Liberty purchased $4.7 million in each of Aave, LINK, TRX, and ENA.
Trump’s Inauguration Sparks $185M ETH Boost in World Liberty’s Portfolio
Trump became the 47th president of the United States on Monday, and the project stated that the purchase was made to commemorate Trump’s inauguration. The most recent acquisition brought World Liberty’s ether holdings to 57,115 ETH, which, at current market values, is worth about $185.14 million, according to statistics from Arkham Intelligence. More than half the value of its portfolio is accounted for by this.
The purchase of tokens followed World Liberty’s successful sale of 20% of its 100 billion WLFI token supply late Sunday. The initiative then plans to sell an additional 5 billion tokens, or 5% of the supply. Dune Analytics data shows that since October 2024, World Liberty has made $300 million from these presales.
