Bitcoin Price Outlook: Analysts Predict Bullish Momentum After Derivatives Shakeout
Bitcoin (BTC) has been trading in a tight range around the $108,000 support and resistance zone, but analysts suggest a significant move could be on the horizon as macro and market factors converge.
Market Structure Reset Sets the Stage
Crypto entrepreneur Joe Consorti described 2025 as largely a “positioning reset for Bitcoin’s market structure in spot and derivatives.” He highlighted that long-term holders have been distributing above $100K and $110K, while macroeconomic headwinds and a major derivatives liquidation event have reset market positioning.
“The next move will be driven by the U.S. government reopening after a three-week shutdown and the upcoming Trump-Xi trade talks,” Consorti said, signaling that Bitcoin could gain momentum into year-end.
Fed Rate Cuts Could Fuel the Rally
Market participants are also watching the Federal Reserve closely. A rate cut, nearly guaranteed next week, is expected to bolster Bitcoin and broader crypto markets, even amid today’s CPI inflation report. Investor Fred Krueger outlined a sequence of rate cuts this year and early 2026, noting that these measures could extend the current cycle.
“Rate cut in 6 days, then again in 48 days, and once more in 97 days,” Krueger wrote, emphasizing the potential bullish impact on risk assets, including crypto.
Analysts See Buying Opportunities
Traders are spotting opportunities amid the market shakeout. Stockmoney Lizards noted that no major indicators are signaling red, describing the current environment as a buy-the-dip opportunity. Meanwhile, Daan Crypto Trades pointed out that total market capitalization, hovering around $3.8 trillion, remains healthy if the zone holds.
“Massive flush-outs often create the most interesting entry points,” he said, highlighting how recent volatility may have set the stage for future gains.
As 2025 draws to a close, Bitcoin’s path may depend on government reopening, trade talks, and Fed policy, all while the market digests recent structural resets in spot and derivatives trading.
