Bitmine Immersion Acquires $10 Billion in Ethereum, Leading Corporate Investors
Bitmine Immersion, the crypto treasury company led by Tom Lee, has officially announced it now holds 2.4 million ETH, accounting for more than 2% of Ethereum’s total supply. According to the press release dated September 22, 2025, the Ether holdings are valued at $10.1 billion, making Bitmine the largest corporate holder of ETH worldwide.
Strategic Ethereum Accumulation
The press release reveals that Bitmine purchased Ether at an average price of $4,500, though ETH was trading at $4,196 at the time of reporting. StrategicETHReserve.XYZ data shows Bitmine Immersion leads publicly listed companies in ETH holdings, followed by SharpLink Gaming with 0.69% and The Ether Machine with 495,360 ETH.
Bitmine’s total crypto and cash assets now amount to $11.4 billion, making the company the 24th most traded stock in the U.S. The company confirmed that acquiring more ETH is part of a long-term investment strategy.
Stock Moves and Institutional Agreements
Bitmine also announced a securities purchase agreement with institutional investors, offering 5,217,715 common shares at $70 each and warrants to purchase up to 10,435,430 shares at $87.50 through a registered direct offering.
At the time of writing, Bitmine stock trades at $55.10, down 10.10% in the last session but up 2.6% over the past five sessions. Analysts note that if bullish momentum continues, the stock could soon surpass its annual target of $60, roughly 8% above the current price.
Ethereum Market Overview
Despite Bitmine’s aggressive accumulation, Ethereum prices have faced a correction. Over the past week, ETH fell 7.03%, while monthly losses hit 11.94%. However, the cryptocurrency has gained 71.71% over the past quarter and 109% in the last six months.
ETH currently dominates 13.2% of the crypto market, down from nearly 16% earlier this year, with a market capitalization of $508 billion, down 7% weekly and over 11.5% in the past 30 days. Market analysts interpret this as a price correction and support establishment near $4,200.
Bitmine’s strategic ETH holdings and ongoing acquisitions highlight the growing influence of corporate treasury strategies in Ethereum’s evolving market landscape.
