The Rally Isn’t Over Yet: McClurg Predicts Bitcoin Boom

Canary Capital CEO Steven McClurg believes that Bitcoin may reach $150,000 before the year ends and then experience another bear market in 2026. However, he does not believe that the recent spike in Ethereum will last. As institutional investors pour money into ETFs and cryptocurrency markets teeter on the verge of hitting all-time highs, the prognosis for Bitcoin comes. On Wednesday, Bitcoin reached a new all-time high of $124,457.
There’s a greater than 50% chance that Bitcoin goes to the $140,000 to $150,000 range this year before we see another bear market next year,

Rising ETF demand and a growing number of institutional buyers, such as corporate treasuries, pensions, and sovereign wealth funds, were cited by McClurg as the reasons for the surge.

McClurg: Ethereum Won’t Reach New Highs as Faster Blockchains Take Over
Canary Capital has submitted ETF applications linked to a number of cryptocurrencies, including XRP, Sui, CRO, HBAR, and President Trump’s official meme coin on Solana. The business has not submitted an Ethereum ETF application, which McClurg denounced as an antiquated network. But among the major cryptocurrencies, ETH has gained the most in recent weeks. On Thursday, it cooled off along with the rest of the market, coming close to its all-time high.
I’m not a big fan of Ethereum, only because it is an older technology. There’s a lot of other protocols that are faster, cheaper to transact, and fundamentally more secure.

According to McClurg, Ethereum had a fantastic run for roughly five years, but it has now been overshadowed by newer blockchains like Solana and Sui.
I do expect it to wane and not see all-time highs,

Is Litecoin Set for Resurgence? Analyst Sees Big Role in Small Transactions
McClurg also hinted at a potential Litecoin resurgence. Additionally, the company filed to introduce a spot Litecoin ETF with the SEC.
Litecoin has the ability to process Ordinals a lot faster. So I do expect Litecoin to come back in a major way and to be used for smaller transactions.

Additionally, McClurg noted that the seasonality of cryptocurrency can lead to increased volatility in the upcoming months.
August is historically a bad month for any risk asset, especially cryptocurrencies. September and October are usually very strong.
