Tron DAO and BitTorrent Chain have joined forces to announce the Tron Builder Tour, a global initiative co-hosted by Huobi Ventures, aimed at inspiring developers to create innovative applications on the Tron blockchain.

The world tour, described as the “blockchain bullet train,” is calling upon developers to embrace the decentralized future. The Tron DAO developer relations team will organize a series of hackathons, known as HackaTrons, in various cities starting in July.

Coinciding with the latest season of the renowned ‘HackaTron‘ competition, the Tron Builder Tour aims to encourage individuals who have contemplated developing decentralized apps (dapps) to leverage the capabilities of the Tron blockchain. With the highest daily transaction volume and the second-highest total value locked on-chain, according to DeFiLlama, Tron offers a promising ecosystem for developers.

The tour commences in New York City on July 16, followed by subsequent stops in Los Angeles (July 27), Miami (August 26), UC Berkeley (September 9), and an East Coast location towards the end of September (subject to change).

Participating teams will compete for a Tron Builder Tour prize pool, and all participants will receive HackaTron swag as a token of appreciation. Additionally, teams will be guided to join the online HackaTron S5, offering further opportunities to win prizes. Huobi Ventures, the co-host of the Tron Builder Tour, will sponsor a bug bounty worth up to $2,500 for the event.
