During this period, the team released the initial version (rc1) of core v2.2.0 and will collaborate with front-end and contract teams on the rebels-2 testnet to ensure seamless backward compatibility.

The report indicates that essential coding work for the v2.2.0 core upgrade has been finalized, encompassing the upgrade of the cosmosZetaChain Secures $27M Funding to Bridge Bitcoin, Cosmos, and Ethereum SDK to SDK 46, tendermint migration to CometBFT, and IBC-go to v6. Furthermore, the completion of wasmd integration has been accomplished. L1TF also addressed the LUNC cap proposal, which proposes the cessation of additional LUNC minting in each block. However, it’s imperative to note that this practice serves as a primary revenue source for delegators, validators, and the community pool. The L1TF advises against implementing this alteration due to its potential to disrupt the chain’s functionality.

Moreover, this proposed change would also have ramifications for the USTC swap mechanism. If LUNC is capped, traders will no longer receive LUNC when exchanging USTC. Additionally, the L1TF is closely monitoring advancements pertaining to community-owned entities like Station, Finder, and Wallet services.
