Play Ember announced that it has raised $2.3 million in a pre-seed investment round led by Shima Capital. According to the company’s statement, Big Brain Holdings, Hyperithm, Warburg Serres, Lyrik Ventures and Huobi Ventures were also involved in the investment round.
Web2 to Web3
Play Ember was founded by Hugo Furneaux and Jon Hook. The company aims to facilitate the transition of gaming advertising from the web2 market to the web3 market through a Unity-based software development kit that implements a custom monetization solution. According to a previous interview, the project had started out as a game development and publishing company. The platform will accelerate its growth by taking advantage of the release notes of the existing game studio.
Play Ember, whose beta product is currently live, will use this capital for the growth of its team and platform.
In addition, this startup project has received strong strategic support from the NEAR Foundation, a non-profit and supporter of the NEAR protocol ecosystem.
