Cubist Completes a $7 Million Seed Round

On March 9, Cubist announced that it had completed a $7 billion funding round. Polychain Capital led the round, with participation from Blizzard, Amplify Partners, Axela, and Polygon. The startup, founded last year by several industry leaders with expertise in security and fraud, develops security-focused development tools. Thus, web3 developers will be able to build more secure dApps faster. With the seed funding, they plan to grow their workforce, scale their technological capabilities and create their product more quickly.

Cubist Completes a $7 Million Seed Round

dApp developers are still required to piece together a complex infrastructure from incompatible languages, protocols, and security solutions despite the incredible advancements in Web3 technology. Many hours are spent attempting to understand the specifics of where and how their dApps will run, which reduces developer productivity across the board. Even worse, the current situation offers developers countless chances to make disastrous errors.

“The future of Web3 will be powered by dapp developers building amazing applications. However, this future will not be possible if developers must continue to build custom tooling and infrastructure, stitch together incompatible point solutions, and lose sleep over the security of their tech stacks. This stifles innovation and leads to serious security vulnerabilities. We’re building Cubist to break this bottleneck and let developers focus on delivering the best, most secure applications possible. Cubist’s obsessive focus on helping developers efficiently and securely build dapps will set the standards for both safety and productivity, and we can’t wait to help build the future of Web3.”

Riad Wahby, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cubist

What Does Cubist Provide?

The platform brings countless benefits to people. For example, it helps web3 development to be smooth, efficient, and secure. However, the platform has modules with security-oriented development tools. Thus, it adds the best tools of software engineering to the entire cycle of a dApp, such as Continuous Integration (CI) testing. With the help of this secure-by-design tooling, developers can create the greatest applications without having to figure out problematic infrastructure and interfaces.

“Even some of the most exciting innovations in Web3 have suffered from technical mistakes that are easy to make, expensive to find, and hard to fix. The problem is that developers simply don’t have the tools they need to prevent these critical errors. Cubist takes a security-first approach that gives developers peace of mind at every stage of development. With the support of our investors and community, we look forward to making Web3 a safe, fruitful place for builders.”
