Notably, Chris O, a distinguished member of the Cardano Original Gangster circle, took to the digital realm, specifically X (also known as Twitter), to voice his criticism directed at Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum.

The catalyst for Chris O’s critique was an interview statement by Buterin that was thrust into the public domain. In the video, Buterin asserted that every layer two and rollup solution on Ethereum incorporates a backdoor, allowing protocol developers to effect changes whenever deemed necessary. This remark did not find favor within the Cardano community.

Chris O vehemently argued that Buterin’s declaration implied that the ETH network does not embody the principles of immutability, permissionless ness, or censorship resistance, attributes often associated with cryptocurrencies. He went on to posit that only Cardano (ADA) and Bitcoin (BTC) stand as true cryptocurrencies, steadfastly refraining from accommodating backdoors for protocol developers.

While this development ignited a wave of criticism, some voices interjected by pointing out that the concept of backdoors is not exclusive to the realm of cryptocurrency.

Comparatively, these individuals highlighted how technology giants employ analogous strategies to foster customer engagement following the utilization of their services. This particular commentator endorsed the steadfast stance of the Cardano blockchain in alignment with the overarching goals of the crypto space.
