Web3 Engagement – Telegram Experiences 400% Surge in NFT Activity in Q3 2024
Web3 Engagement – As Telegram users increasingly engage with Web3 technologies, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are rapidly gaining traction on the popular messaging platform. A recent report by Helika, a data provider specializing in Web3 analytics, reveals a remarkable 400% surge in NFT activity on Telegram during the third quarter of 2024.
Significant Growth in NFT Transactions
According to Helika’s “Q3 ‘24 Telegram Games Report,” the number of unique wallets transferring NFTs daily on Telegram skyrocketed from fewer than 200,000 in July to over one million by September. This substantial increase highlights the growing interest and engagement in NFTs within the Telegram community.
Active Participation from Telegram Gamers
Helika emphasized that Telegram gamers are particularly active, engaging in the purchase, transfer, and utilization of NFTs within various games. The report noted, “Our data indicates that gamers on Telegram are not just creating wallets but are also actively engaging with NFTs, suggesting a dynamic and vibrant level of interaction within the ecosystem.”
Expanding Wallets and Gaming Sessions
In September alone, Helika recorded approximately three million active wallets across nine Telegram games. Additionally, the average gaming session duration for users has notably increased from 2.8 minutes in August to 6.7 minutes at the beginning of October. Helika attributes this growth to the more immersive gaming experiences offered on the platform.
Hamster Kombat: A Game-Changer for NFTs on Telegram
One of the standout games on Telegram, Hamster Kombat, has become a viral sensation, boasting over 300 million users. On September 25, the game announced plans to integrate NFTs, aiming to enhance user experience and expand its ecosystem. The developers indicated that new games would be launched alongside NFTs as in-game assets.
Upcoming Features and Storyline Expansion
Hamster Kombat’s roadmap for late 2024 and 2025 revealed that NFTs will be integrated in the game’s Season 2, set to launch in November. On October 17, a trailer for the second season was released, teasing a new storyline where players will assume the roles of CEOs in their own companies, further engaging users in the evolving gaming landscape.
