Both organizations are internationally designated as terrorist entities by the U.S., U.K., and other jurisdictions, according to a recent report by Reuters.

The investigation conducted by Reuters unveils a notable surge in cryptocurrency seizures from Tron wallets since the beginning of 2021, concurrently noting a decline in similar activities associated with Bitcoin wallets. In the context of these developments, Israel has been particularly active, executing 87 seizures from Tron wallets this year alone. What’s striking is that two-thirds of these seizures occurred in July 2021.

This comprehensive analysis encompasses 39 seizures from wallets identified by Israel in June as belonging to Hezbollah, a Lebanon-based militant group, and an additional 26 seizures in July linked to Hamas ally Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The dynamics in the cryptocurrency preferences of these organizations signify a shift from Bitcoin to Tron, as observed by Mriganka Pattnaik, the CEO of Merkle Science, a blockchain analysis firm.
