Claxy App Review-2023
Creator Galaxy, or Calaxy, is a partnership between a world-renowned NBA player and a tech entrepreneur. Calaxy is an application layer, an open social marketplace built for creators by creators. With a visionary team, this project is an entirely new approach to the world of creators and is reimagining the use of social media.
The company is working to create a decentralized social media ecosystem using the Hedera Hashgraph, a blockchain alternative that allows content creators to monetize directly with creator tokens. In addition, these tokens can be exchanged by fans to achieve a personalized experience.
Features
Calaxy app features include video calls, direct messaging, fan votes, exclusive live audio sessions, and content subscription services.
Calaxy app will offer “Fan Clubs,” which unlock unlimited access to exclusive perks and content from creators, with each creator defining what is included in their Fan Club.
Calaxy App is designed for all types of creators, and some of the creators included in the app are as follows:
- Teyana Taylor
- Dwight Howard
- Eric Struk
- Mario Barrett
- Ezekiel Elliott
- Emaza Dilan
About Funding
When the Calaxy App was first established, it obtained $7.5 million in funding to accelerate its development in 2021. The investment round of this funding was led by Animoca Brands, Red Beard Ventures, ArkStream Capital, and Genesis Block Ventures. Also participating in the investment round were angel investors such as NFL player Ezekiel Elliott, NBA coach Luke Walton and PayPal’s former head of blockchain startup Jonathan Pandilla.
Solo Ceesay, Co-Founder and CEO of the company, made the following statements after the investment round:
“My appointment to CEO and the success of this raise is evidence that blockchain is paving the way for greater global equitability and highlights what can be accomplished as a 27-year-old black man—decentralized technology will break the barriers that legacy finance has cultivated $26 million seems fitting in honoring my business partner Spencer—a number he wears with pride in his basketball career. I’m grateful to him and the extended Calaxy team for believing in my ability to foster more equitable income for entertainers everywhere. As CEO, I intend to further Calaxy in realizing its vision of next-generation, decentralized social media. Thank you to all of our partners and backers for their support to date,”
