Bitget Partners– Crypto exchange Bitget has officially announced a partnership with La Liga, Spain’s premier football league, as its official crypto partner. Gracy Chen, Bitget’s CEO, shared this news during an interview with CoinDesk at the Token2049 conference.

Details of the Agreement

The multi-million dollar deal could influence the renewal of Bitget’s partnership with football superstar and World Cup-winning captain Lionel Messi, which is set to end later this year. Chen mentioned that they have not yet decided how the collaboration with Messi will evolve, but noted that the La Liga deal is slightly cheaper and provides more freedom and deeper collaborations. This allows them to invite star players, including Kylian Mbappé, to their events.

Geographic Scope of the Partnership

This partnership is limited to Eastern and Southeast Asia, as well as LATAM regions, and will last for two years.

La Liga’s Vision for Digitalization

La Liga President Javier Tebas emphasized the league’s commitment to digitalization, stating, Over the last decade, digitalization and innovation have been among La Liga’s priorities. Bitget’s Other Developments

This announcement comes in the same week that Bitget, along with Web3 investor Foresight Ventures, increased its exposure to The Open Network (TON) by $30 million through a deal with several unnamed whales in the TON ecosystem.

Record User Growth

Chen also highlighted that Bitget surpassed 45 million users worldwide earlier this week. Even with the Telegram founder being arrested in Paris, the TON foundation is not losing momentum. We are very bullish, she stated.
