On Wednesday, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced a $100 billion investment in the United States at the White House with President Donald Trump. Chipmaker Broadcom (AVGO), chip equipment manufacturer Applied Materials (AMAT), Texas Instruments (TXN), rare earth magnet manufacturer MP Materials (MP), and Corning (GLW) are some of these partner firms. A Corning factory in Kentucky will soon produce all of the cover glass for Apple‘s iPhones and Apple Watches globally for the first time, according to Cook, who spoke about the company’s growing cooperation with Corning.
