There are currently 99 gladiators in the arena, but only 25 of them have been minted and have a story written. Each gladiator has a name, attack value, defense value, health value, and pop value.

Battle
Each battle takes place between two gladiators. Users must place their bets before the combat starts. There is a round system in the contest. Each round has an attacking and a defending side. It randomly determines which gladiator will attack first. There are four primary influences on the outcome of a match. These are
- The gladiator stats: Attack, Defense, and Health
- The faction that each gladiator represents
- Any items that either gladiator has been assigned (max 3)
- A random number is used to generate the outcome
Tournaments
In the game, tournaments take place as daily and weekly tournaments. At the end of these tournaments, there is also a league system according to the points received by the gladiators. Weekly tournaments hold on Wednesdays and Fridays. Daily tournaments consist of 3 matches with four gladiators participating at the same time every day. All bets are pooled, and the winners are then rewarded.
The winning gladiator of the daily tournament qualifies for the weekly tournament held on Wednesdays and Fridays. Weekly tournaments have higher prizes than daily tournaments. Weekly tournament winners also qualify for the seasonal “Champion of Champions” tournament.
Leagues
In Crypto Colosseum, there are two leagues, the Emperor’s League and the Praetorian League. Users are eligible to enter these leagues based on their achievements in tournaments. The Emperor’s League is for the highest-ranked players.
Leagues are based on a season system. Each season lasts eight weeks. At the end of each season, the gladiators in the last two places in the Emperor League relegate to the Praetorian League. Likewise, the highest-ranked gladiators in the praetorian league are eligible for promotion to the emperor league.
