Trump’s Crypto Czar Pushes for US Innovation as SEC Drops Key Lawsuits
About a month has passed since Sacks and congressional leaders made their first public statements as Trump‘s crypto czar.
We want to keep that innovation onshore in the US. Financial assets are destined to become digital, just like every analog industry has become digital, and we want that value creation to happen in the United States, rather than giving it away to other countries.

The news on Friday brings the crypto industry’s hectic week to a close. A federal judge earlier in the day approved the Securities and Exchange Commission’s move to drop its lawsuit against Coinbase. Cameron Winklevoss, co-founder of exchange Gemini, and Joe Lubin, CEO of Ethereum incubator ConsenSys, both stated earlier this week that the SEC notified their companies that it would end its investigations into those companies. Additionally, the SEC requested a halt in its prosecution of Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron Foundation.
