Unlocking 250 Million Dollars: Tokens Galore with Pixels, Parallel, ApeCoin, and Beyond

Crypto News- Get ready for an influx of gaming tokens hitting the market soon! According to Token Unlocks’ data, around $250 million worth of gaming tokens are gearing up for release by the end of March.

It’s a common practice for crypto projects to stash away portions of their token supplies years ahead. These tokens, reserved for developers, investors, and community funds, are gradually unlocked over time. Traders and investors keep a close eye on these schedules, knowing that a sudden flood of tokens can shake up prices.

ApeCoin (APE), the Ethereum token linked to the Bored Ape Yacht Club and Otherside metaverse game, is up first. On March 16, 15.6 million APE tokens, valued at about $38.2 million, will hit the market—representing 2.55% of the current circulating supply.

Meanwhile, PIXEL, the token powering the Ronin farming game Pixels, is also on the verge of its first unlock. On March 19, 54.38 million PIXEL tokens, worth a whopping $42.5 million, will become available, comprising just over 7% of the circulating supply.

But the big player this month is IMX, the token from Ethereum gaming platform Immutable. On March 21, a staggering 34.19 million IMX tokens, valued at approximately $117.3 million, will be unleashed—making up nearly 2.5% of the circulating supply. IMX recently hit a two-year high, adding to the anticipation.

Other notable unlocks include Yield Guild Games’ YGG token, unlocking 16.69 million tokens ($15.9 million worth) on March 27, and Parallel’s PRIME tokens, with 1.66 million set to unlock on March 30 ($32.1 million worth). Lastly, Stepn’s GMT token will start a 30-day linear unlock on March 31, with 3.32 million GMT tokens ($1.23 million worth) released each day.
