Only 13% of THNDR’s Lightning Network payments in April were made to users in the United States, according to data provided by Bitcoin enthusiast Kevin Rooke on Twitter. This might indicate that the network’s presence in the world of payments is expanding.

About THNDR Games

A layer-2 (L2) payment system built on top of the Bitcoin network is used by THNDR, a Bitcoin game development company, to make instantaneous microtransactions. Due to this, players from all over the world can acquire and use Bitcoin (BTC) in their games. Moreover, Bitcoin Blocks, Turbo 84, and Club Bitcoin: Solitaire is a few of the games created by THNDR.

Using Lightning Network in Payments

According to Rooke’s data, six of the top ten nations in the THNDR’s April payout distribution were from developing countries. With regard to the company’s Lightning payments in April, the six countries—Brazil, the Philippines, Venezuela, Argentina, El Salvador, and Mexico—accounted for close to 32% of the total. The percentage of payments made by the company using this payment method according to some countries is as follows:

  • Brazil: 9.18
  • Philippines: %6,46
  • Venezuela: 5.79
  • Germany: 5.2%
  • Argentina: 4.77
