Tether and Guinea Join Forces: Is This Africa’s Next Blockchain Hub?
Guinea, an African country, and cryptocurrency stablecoin issuer Tether have signed an agreement to investigate the country’s use of peer-to-peer technology and blockchain. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) that Tether signed aims to lay the foundation for the nation’s adoption of blockchain technology and foster an innovative atmosphere.

According to Tether, a significant component of the MOU may involve integrating blockchain knowledge and instruction into public and private educational initiatives in Guinea in order to increase awareness, improve competencies, and foster local talent in digital technologies. The company noted that the goal of the deal is to exchange best practices with the West African country, with an emphasis on innovation, education, and sustainable tech practices.
