Semler Scientific Expands Bitcoin Treasury with $29.3 Million Bitcoin Purchase
As it continues to grow its bitcoin treasury, California-based healthcare company Semler Scientific has purchased an extra 303 bitcoin for $29.3 million, increasing its total holdings to 1,873 bitcoin. Between November 25 and December 4, 303 Bitcoin were bought at an average price of $96,779 per bitcoin, including fees and expenses, according to a Thursday announcement from the Nasdaq-traded company.
At an average purchase price of $78,553 per bitcoin, the company also said that 1,873 bitcoins were purchased for a total of $147.1 million. Semler reported that their bitcoin treasury approach produced a 78.7% yield from July 1st, the quarter after the strategy’s adoption.

The Healthcare Company Uses Bitcoin Yield as Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for Growth
The company claimed to use its bitcoin yield as a key performance indicator (KPI) to assess how well its bitcoin strategy is working. As of this writing, their bitcoin holdings total 1,873 BTC, which is worth around $184 million. After firms like MicroStrategy and Marathon Digital, it is the fourteenth largest bitcoin holder among publicly traded companies.
