Most players who have been in the cryptocurrency markets for a while are familiar with the famous Sunflower Land. Pixel NFT is a game just like Sunflower Land. In this game, players plant seeds, harvest crops, gain experience and level up by doing quests. Like any play-to-earn game, this game has its own token that rewards play. The native token for Pixels is $BERRY. In this game, players earn $BERRY as a reward for their quests and crops.
As the title of this article suggests, Pixels is an NFT game. This means that the ownership and disposition rights of the assets acquired by players in this game belong entirely to the player. Users who own an NFT farm can use these NFTs to grow their crops and access the game. Users who do not own NFT farms can purchase limited NFT Farms through OpenSea (NFT Marketplace).
Free-to-Play
Pixels, an NFT game, is also a free-to-play (F2P) game. This means that players do not have to buy an NFT to play the game. However, players who don’t buy an NFT have less development and more limited resources than players who buy an NFT. For example, some resources in this game can only be grown in NFT farms.
Pixels NFT Game Lands & Resources
Resources come from the earth, and resource generation is the main tap in Pixels. Resources in this game come in the form of wood, crops, animals, and other items. The mentality of progression in this game is based on collecting increasingly scarce and difficult-to-obtain resources. Players need time and experience to get the best resources. For the economy of the game, the team of project regulates which resources can be produced.
Pixel has a total of three lands. These are:
- Vacant Land: Also known as Speck, these are the most basic landmass units. They allow players to start playing but do not offer big payouts. They are a good entry point.
- Rental land: Offer players freedom and better returns. But you have to split the profit with your landlord. These are a good way to accumulate experience and capital before potentially buying your land.
- Owned Lands: Available in small and large owned lands, users have full control over the Pixels part of the world. Manage resources, collect rewards, and earn tokens.
Tokens
The economic model of this game is based on a two-token model. The tokens of the game are $BERRY and $PIXEL.
BERRY: The primary in-game currency and is vital to the core “gameplay loop”. Players can spend BERRY at the in-game store and get paid in the token when they sell resources. BERRY is burned when players buy items to progress through the story.
PIXEL: The premium Pixels in-game currency. Players use it to buy items, upgrades, and cosmetic enhancements that exist outside of core gameplay. Unlike BERRY, PIXEL supply is heavily controlled. 100.000 new PIXELS will be minted each day and distributed to active players.
How to get started on Pixels?
1. Get a MetaMask
First off, you’ll need a Metamask Web3 wallet. Read DappRadar’s in-depth guide to MetaMask to find out how to get one. Once you’ve downloaded it, use it to log into the Pixels and save your progress.
2. You don’t need an in-game NFT to start playing
Buying Pixels Land from the secondary markets will open up the full functionality of the game. But you can still play even if you don’t have any. Just click on “Continue as guest” when you log in and follow the instructions.
3. Moving around is easy
Journey through the Pixels world using WASD. Arrow keys and click movements will be available in the future.
4. Start your quests
Go to Mayor Dave in Terra Villa. Speak to him if you want to begin your adventure.
