Crypto News – Strike, a payment platform built upon Bitcoin’s Lightning Network, has responded to claims of a potential security breach posted online. The company stated that it is actively investigating these allegations but has not discovered any evidence supporting the claims.

In an email, Strike mentioned, “Our security team has been diligently investigating these claims, and at this moment, there is no indication that Strike’s security has been compromised.”

Prior to Strike’s official response, an online investigator, ZachXBT, raised concerns on their Telegram channel. Some individuals had reported receiving suspicious emails and questioned whether their email addresses had been leaked. One user, @bitcoin_eagle, expressed, “Strike, when did you leak your customer emails? I just received a scam email to an address I had only provided to info@strike.me.”

ZachXBT shared additional posts from people who had encountered similar concerning emails.

In May, Strike expanded its app’s availability to numerous new countries, having previously operated exclusively in the United States, Argentina, and El Salvador. The Strike app enables users to instantly send and receive Bitcoin using the Lightning Network.

Founded by Jack Mallers in 2020, Strike continues to be a prominent player in the world of cryptocurrency payments.
