NFTs Visible in Metamask Wallet Now
Metamask, the most widely used crypto wallet in the crypto industry, which renews and develops itself more and more every day, has made a new update. As a result of this development, Metamask has finally become a structure that supports NFTs.
Announcing its new update via Twitter, Metamask v10.28 announced the features of the add-on wallet as follows.
- Dedicated NFT Tab: The new version incorporates an NFT tab, allowing users to view and manage their NFTs in the wallet quickly.
- Simplify ERC-721 NFT Sending: Users can now transfer ERC-721 NFTs without relying on external platforms or smart contracts.
- NFT Autodiscover: When enabled, this feature will show all ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens in the wallet.
- Upcoming support for ERC-1155 transfers: While not yet available, MetaMask plans to introduce the ability to send ERC-1155 tokens in the near future.
ERC-1155 Tokens
With this new release, users can now send NFTs directly to a ledger or a contact via the Metamask browser plugin. This feature is of particular importance for users interested in NFTs. This is because, before this feature, users had to use platforms like OpenSea or communicate with complex smart contracts to transfer their NFTs.
While no specific timeline has been provided, the wallet plans to allow users soon to deposit ERC-1155 tokens in the extension.
