Game Content

Dustland game works with the move-to-earn system. The game has two different game modes, runner and rider, that players can play. Runner mode can only be played on mobile devices with Android and IOS operating systems, while Rider mode is supported on Android, iOS, and PC/MAC.

Players must participate in physical activities and missions to earn rewards. The more missions you do, the more rewards you earn. Rewards are given as in-game NFT and DOSE tokens. Choose a character, explore Dustland and collect resources.

Prize Pools

Players must complete the tasks given on a daily basis. Players are rewarded with DOSE tokens and in-game resources for completing missions. A number of DOSE tokens are allocated to the prize pool every day in Dustland. The amount allocated to the prize pool represents the maximum number of tokens players can win. DOSE tokens are distributed every hour, and the amount depends on the number of players currently running.

Players must fulfill some rules set by the game to win a prize. These rules are as follows:

  • Movement Speed: Movement speed does not affect the amount of DOSE players gain, but players must move at the required speed. We can characterize this as proof of training. When users move too fast or too slow, they will receive a warning notification in-game.
  • Distance Requirement: Missions given to players come with a distance requirement. These missions are logged daily. For example, the distance requirement for mission A is 20 km, and the distance requirement for mission B is 30 km. When the player completes mission A, they need to run another 10 km for mission B.
  • GPS and Internet connection: Players need to turn on the GPS and internet connection on their phones to win prizes. Otherwise, this means that players will not be able to use machines such as treadmills.

Energy System

In Dustland, runners begin each day with 20 energy points. Energy consumption starts when you start your run, and one energy consumption per minute. In-game energies are refilled 25% every 6 hours. In exchange for spent energies, players are allocated DOSE tokens from the reward pool or in-game production resources.

When players run out of energy, they can continue running, but they will not receive any rewards. Players need to consume at least five energy to receive NFT crafting materials as a reward. After five energy, potential rewards will appear, and the drop rate is random. Players can see the crafting material rewards in their inventory after the end of the mission.

Equipment

We talked about in-game crafting materials. These materials are used to create shoes, the most significant item in the game. Each shoe has a rarity level. The rarity levels depend on the materials used to craft the shoes.

Floppy disks are the most important material for shoe production, and they are the second most significant resource in the game. Each floppy disk has a rarity level. Floppy disk rarity levels determine the value of the created shoe. All shoes start at level 1 and can be upgraded through in-game activities. The shoe level affects the players’ winnings.

To create NFTs, players first need the materials and disks mentioned above. It is also important to note that some DOSE tokens are required. Users can only mint one shoe within 24 hours.

Dustland Rider is the world’s first blockchain-based Ride-to-Earn game created for fitness enthusiasts. To play this game mode, players must first download it to one of their iOS, Android, or PC/MAC devices. Next, you will need a fitness bike and fast internet. After installation, you need to connect your device to the bike via Bluetooth. Dustland Rider is still in development and works similarly to Dustlan Runner.

Tokenomics

The cryptocurrency of the Dustland gaming ecosystem is DOSE. The DOSE token is an ERC-20 token that can be earned in-game and used for NFT purchases. DOSE token stands for Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, and Endorphins. The DOSE token supply is 5,000,000,000,000, and its distribution is as follows.
