To Repair Corrupted Social Networks, Console Has Launched a Beta Version

The startup, which is decentralized and privacy-oriented, aims to address the problems of Web3 communities with spam, bots, and careless sale of crypto on other social networks.

What is a Console?

Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media platform Twitter continues to put the social network under pressure, while many crypto fans who initially found a home on Twitter are now looking for an alternative place to expand their community. Console, on the other hand, is a brand new platform that aims to bring a solution to this problem. The platform, which aims to address some of the problems of traditional social media platforms such as spam and misinformation, as well as to prioritize privacy and data ownership, is a messaging platform built on the blockchain.

The platform, created by serial entrepreneurs David Leiberman and Chris Castiglione, said last week that it is the “evolution of group chat” using Web3 tools that encourage greater community and builder collaboration.

Features of the Console

The platform solves problems with other social networks, especially spam and bots, by providing features such as web wallet login and authentication via Ethereum Name Service domain names. To help emerging crypto communities scale their efforts, Console also provides tools that support voting, events, rewards, and treasure.

The platform, which is open source, suggests that it is progressively decentralized, secure by design and belongs to the community. However, ConsoleDAO, the group responsible for the platform, has recently launched a beta version in order to influence, contribute to and share Console‘s future growth.

Summary

The console has emerged at a point when the discussions about decentralized social networks are intensifying. Despite the fact that industry heavyweights such as Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey have introduced alternatives, no blockchain-based social network has yet been able to completely move users away from centralized legacy systems. However, Console administrators believe that they will overcome this task, even if it takes time.
