FC Barcelona is releasing the second digital collection piece in the ‘Masterpiece’ collection in collaboration with World of Women. A token called ‘Masterpiece’ is part of this collection.
FC Barcelona Gave Points For World of Women’s Upcoming NFT Release
NFT is a one-to-one token created by World of Women artist Rhi Madeline. It can be purchased via auction on the OpenSea marketplace between June 26th and June 28th.
The artwork was inspired by Spanish footballer Alexia Putellas. Putellas helped Barcelona win the semi-final match against German team Wolfsburg in the Women’s Champions League in April 2022. With approximately 92,000 viewers watching the match, NFT pays tribute to the historic victory for the Spanish football team.
What is The Purpose Of World Of Women Collaborations
The team web3 partnerships and Marketing Manager Diana-Luk Ye said her participation in the Masterpiece collection on CoinDesk highlights the mission of empowering women and non-binary people beyond the Web3 space.
Representation is still an issue that we’re trying to fix, and knowing that there’s Masterpiece number two, honoring Alexia, there’s all the strength, the resilience, the ambition, all that mindset work that goes into being successful.
