Crypto News – A recent Ethereum All Core Developers Execution (ACDE) meeting was attended by Tim Beiko, an Ethereum core developer, to discuss significant network updates and enhancements.

The Devnet-8, according to Beiko, is almost finished, and numerous clients are actively updating it. Notably, Besu undertakes a large transaction pool upgrade, while Nethermind and Geth make progress with their blob transaction pools. Prysm is looking into delays in blob sidecar receiving, while Erigon is focusing on getting its pool ready for Devnet-9. In the mempool, it was decided not to support blob transactions.

In order to halt the increase in the ETH stake percentage, a proposal dubbed EIP-7514 (add maximum Epoch loss limit) was explored. Its goal was to add a constant limitation to the validator activation queue. Dankrad, an Ethereum Foundation researcher, indicated support for it, and the restriction of 8 will be included as part of the Dencun upgrade.

EIP-4788 Proposal was Also Discussed

Updates to the EIP-4788 proposal that optimize gas usage, buffer size, and handle erroneous timestamps for beacon roots stored in EL contracts were also examined. Before the following ACDE meeting, auditors will evaluate these modifications, with outcomes anticipated.

The upcoming Devnet-9 upgrade is planned to include all of these advancements. The next ACDC session, during which a release date for Devnet-9 will be decided, is when the Ethereum core development teams want to put these improvements into practice and test them.
