Deutsche Telekom MMS, a subsidiary of one of Europe’s largest telecom giants, has become a validator for the Injective blockchain, a layer-1 network focused on finance. The announcement, made on February 27, highlights the growing intersection of telecommunications and blockchain technologies.

According to the Injective blog, Deutsche Telekom MMS will actively participate in the validation of transactions, block proposals, and on-chain governance. This partnership strengthens Injective’s decentralized ecosystem, with the telecom giant staking the INJ token to help secure the network. Eric Chen, CEO of Injective, expressed enthusiasm over the collaboration, noting, “We are thrilled to have one of the world’s leading telecommunications companies on board as a validator.”

Web3 Meets Telecom Infrastructure

Oliver Nyderle, head of Web3 infrastructure at Deutsche Telekom MMS, explained that their involvement in the blockchain space aims to support decentralization and security. “We want to foster true decentralization,” Nyderle said, emphasizing the importance of robust infrastructure for the network’s security.
