Breaking Crypto News – What Are the Implications of the ZK Nation Statement on the ZKsync Airdrop?
Breaking Crypto News – The first ZKsync airdrop, announced by Matter Labs and scheduled for June 17, has caused a great deal of debate in the cryptocurrency market. 17.5% of ZKsync’s native token will be distributed via the airdrop, but anger has been aroused by the exclusion of numerous important ecosystem players.
Well-known projects developed on the Ethereum Layer-2 ZKsync Era have voiced their dissatisfaction, including the NFT marketplace Element. For example, on social media, Element, which up until June 12 contributed roughly 70% of ZKsync Era’s total trading volume, expressed its anger.
As the largest NFT marketplace on ZKsync, we didn’t receive any airdrops, is this a joke?

ZK Nation Shares Blog Post About Airdrop Allocation
ZK Nation published a thorough blog post outlining the requirements for qualifying and the reasoning for the cryptocurrency airdrop distributions. It was explained in the post that wallets were eligible for the ZKsync airdrop under two main categories: contributors (11%) and users (89%). Users have to fulfill one of seven qualifying requirements and bridge crypto-assets to the ZKsync Era.
Contributors received recognition for their community and developmental work in the meantime. ZK Nation highlighted that the allocation was not intended to reward opportunistic players, but rather to encourage organic, long-term consumers. The blog explained that allocation size was not affected by transaction volume alone. Rather, the allocations were made using a combination of bonus multipliers, time-weighted average balance (TWAB), and qualifying requirements.
