ZachXBT Discovers $61M in Addresses Associated with Lazarus Group

Crypto News- Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has identified seven wallet addresses linked to the notorious North Korean hacking group Lazarus, containing a total of 891.13 Bitcoin. On May 21, ZachXBT shared these addresses on X, following his extensive research into the group, which previously resulted in authorities freezing $3.8 million in digital assets.

As of now, the wallets flagged by ZachXBT still hold the identified amounts. Earlier, on April 29, ZachXBT published a detailed analysis revealing how the state-backed hacker group laundered $200 million from over 25 hacks since 2020. His investigation showed that the hackers used peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplaces and crypto-mixing services to convert the stolen crypto into fiat currency.

Following this, they moved 3.343 BTC, worth $150,582, to a previously used address.

On April 24, the group was spotted targeting users on LinkedIn with malware attacks. Blockchain security firm Slowmist reported that Lazarus Group hackers were posing as applicants for blockchain developer jobs to gain access to confidential employee credentials.
