Worldcoin Whale Draws Attention for Depositing 4.5 Million WLD on Three Different Exchanges
Before WLD went live, it was known that the market maker had acquired 11 million WLD market-making tokens. As of right now, the market maker’s address still has 2.96 million WLD, or around $4.02 million. Activity along the market maker chain is as follows:
- Between July 25 and August 24, allegedly, 9.186 million dollars worth of WLD was accumulated on a variety of exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Kucoin, Gate.io, and Bybit, at an average price of $1.835 million.
- A total of 6.225 million USD worth of WLD has been sent to Binance, OKex, Kucoin, Huobi, and Bybit at a cost of $1.34.
In short, the market maker may be the whale, given their trading patterns.
Worldcoin’s Activity Surprises the Market
Given the contentious project that added a reservation function for individuals who are not verified, Worldcoin’s price movement surprised many. Using iris-based biometric data, Worldcoin hopes to distinguish between humans and robots in the future despite regulatory difficulties in many jurisdictions.
