Among those chiming in was Gabor Gurbacs, the digital asset strategist at VanEck and Tether. This high-ranking executive highlighted a significant similarity between Elon Musk‘s enterprises and the world’s leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin.

Renowned tech mogul Elon Musk recently shared an ironic tweet addressing the frequent reports in the media about the impending collapse of one of his companies. Musk quipped that if he were given a dollar each time such predictions surfaced, he “would never need to raise money.”

In response, Gabor Gurbacs drew a comparison, likening Musk’s ventures to Bitcoin. He pointed out that, much like Musk’s companies, there exists a dedicated website tracking the numerous times mainstream media has declared Bitcoin dead. According to Gurbacs‘ tweet, this website currently tallies 475 Bitcoin obituaries. He suggested that Musk could consider setting up a similar tracker online, accessible to the public free of charge.

Musk mulls over launching university with Dogecoin tuition payments

Earlier this week, Tesla‘s CEO and the mastermind behind the X platform, Elon Musk, turned to Crypto Twitter to gauge opinions on a project he first mentioned a few years ago: establishing a university of technology and science in Texas, where tuition fees would be paid in Dogecoin.

The conversation began when Musk liked his own tweet from 2021 discussing the idea. Subsequently, on Monday, he sought input on whether he should proceed with creating and opening the Texas Institute of Technology & Science.

The cryptocurrency community responded positively, reminding Musk of his previous mention of tuition payments in Dogecoin. DOGE co-founder Billy Markus, also known as “Shibetoshi Nakamoto” on Twitter and a “Twitter friend” of Musk, tweeted a supportive response to the innovative entrepreneur.

Musk already has experience in founding his educational institution with a unique curriculum in the early 2010s. He established the Astra Nova School for his children due to dissatisfaction with the curriculum and teaching methods at their previous school. Located on the SpaceX campus in California, this innovative school demonstrates Musk’s commitment to pioneering educational initiatives.
