Crypto News – Donald Trump, the former US president, has changed his attitude about Bitcoin by pointing out that the demand for the leading digital asset is rising.
Trump and Crypto: Former President’s Perspective on Crypto Has Changed in 2024
In a recent interview with Fox News, the former president restated his support for the US currency while acknowledging that Bitcoin is becoming increasingly popular among younger audiences.
Bitcoin’s taken a life of its own. You probably have to do some regulation. But many people are embracing it. More and more I’m seeing people wanting to pay Bitcoin. And you are seeing something that’s interesting. I can live with it one way or the other.

Why did such a Change Happen?
From his prior anti-crypto rhetoric, this comment indicates a substantial change in position. As a “scam against the dollar,” which regulators should keep an eye on, the former president of the United States called Bitcoin in 2021. Trump was skeptical at the time because he believed that cryptocurrency may be used to facilitate illegal financial activity and could be volatile.
He no longer holds the same position about digital assets, though. As background, the former president introduced several NFT collections, such as the Trump Digital Trading Cards series 1 and 2, and last year, an Ethereum wallet connected to him transferred millions of dollars. Currently running for president in the US in 2024, Trump has the backing of many prominent pro-crypto past contenders, such as Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
