Sui Network is preparing to launch its own test network, Wave 2 while developing its protocol.
Wave 2 Will Have a New Game
Recently, Sui Network, one of the emerging blockchain protocols, announced its test network Wave 2 on its social media account.
According to the announcement, Wave testnet will focus on testing epoch management, tokenomics, and staking delegation. Also, Wave 2 will have a new game focusing on tokenomics and staking that anyone can play.
Sui is a layer 1 blockchain network launched by former employees of Meta, including Evan Cheng, Adeniyi Abiodun, Sam Blackshear, George Danezis, and Kostas Chalkias. The Sui is built using Rust, the same software language as Solana.
According to details shared by Sui, testnet Wave 2 will help showcase the features that Sui Network touts as different from other networks known today.
Could Sui Network Be the Next Ethereum Killer?
Sui is being branded as a protocol that will be highly functional for Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and GameFi. Instead of focusing on vertical scalings like Ethereum (ETH) and similar projects, Sui focuses on horizontal scaling and achieves very high throughput.
Proponents of the project believe that Sui will quickly become a competitor to Ethereum in the future. While there have been many so-called Ethereum killer networks before, Sui Network offers fast technology at a low cost, which is why its supporters are calling it the new Ethereum killer.
