The public blockchain Sui Network has indicated that the mainnet will be launched in the second quarter of this year, further encouraging the protocol’s Web3 development community. In addition to announcing the mainnet time, the team also revealed that they currently have no airdrop plans. This comes at a time when the community is anticipating an airdrop from Sui.
Sui Network Will Launch Mainnet In Q2
Additionally, from now until mainnet, the project will host The Wave to Mainnet event. This is a series of events aimed at introducing consumers to Sui and understanding the potential of this project with its promising technology and unique solutions. Recently, the scope of the Web3 initiative at Sui has expanded, with Mysten Labs and Battlemon Partners launching top NFT, DeFi, gaming hubs, and an open universe of various on-chain and off-chain games.
Both Sui and Aptos are blockchains from the former Diem team and are backed by Meta. Aptos has already distributed hundreds of millions of dollars to customers by the end of 2022, but the Sui Network airdrop is still unknown. Meanwhile, the Sui Foundation has launched a campaign to give the community early access to the SUI token. This initiative will allow community members to purchase her SUI tokens early, fairly and in a decentralized way.
Sui Network previously announced that this Layer 1 project has completed the Testnet Wave 2 phase. Both Arbitrum, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, and Space ID, a multi-chain domain initiative, plan to create tokens and distribute them to early adopters of their projects.
