This week, design studio UVL is releasing a novel NFT project in the “choose-your-adventure” vein.
Gamified Storytelling Project Axis Mundi Announces Launch of 72-Hour NFT Open Mint
The journey of Axis Mundi, which consists of three essential parts, starts on June 6 with a 72-hour open edition mint where users may purchase what are known as “Energy elements.” These elements are 20-second video loops of light and liquid that were produced by new media artist Jason Ting and sound designer Pelican Sound.
About Beings NFTs
The primary NFTs of the experience, called Beings, will go on sale in September at an unknown price. The users’ Energy NFTs must be burned in order for the Beings NFTs to evolve. Users must eliminate five Energy NFTs in order to change from the first form to the second, for instance.
When the experience is finished, a much bigger collective work that creates art based on the many interactions between diverse Beings in the virtual world is produced. In eight chapters over the following eight to twelve months, the experience will develop.
Chapters are designed to maintain community interest post-mint. We have a well-structured, pre-planned experience in which all collectors can participate.

Users’ Decisions Will Shape the Game
NFT holders will be given choices at the end of each chapter of the game, with one-click decision processes designed to fit the attention spans of collectors.
The decisions you make, however, will have a significant impact and will not necessarily be easy,
Foucault
Different routes and experiences start to converge depending on the participant’s personality and psychology.
User decisions will shape their journey and the NFT they own,
Foucault
The interactive storytelling approach made popular in Black Mirror’s Bandersnatch, in which the course of the story is decided by the audience, is compared by Foucault to the game.
About Axis Mundi
Thousands of dynamic NFTs shaped by the choices of its collectors make up the interactive NFT experience known as Axis Mundi, founded by UVL. According to the project, there are never two identical journeys. An 8-act drama that is being developed at the nexus of art, film, and gaming involves collectors as active participants.
