After selling out its first premium NFT sale in just minutes last month, coffee giant Starbucks is set to launch a second polygon-based collection.
Starbucks Will Launch New NFT Based On Polygon
The brand will introduce its first store collection on April 19, a set of 5,000 NFT “stamp” collections produced on the Polygon Ethereum scaling network. The NFТs are being sold for $100 each, which is the same as the previous reduced price, which includes only 2,000 NFТs.
Each all-new NFТ is called a “multimedia collage of photos, in-store textures, and featured icons” inspired by the company’s original location at Seattle’s Pike Place Market. Additionally, customers who purchase NFТ will receive 1,500 bonus points from the Starbuсks Odyssey app. On Wednesday, those with two Starbuсks NFТ stamps will first get access to the sale.
Last December, the Starbuсks Odyssey campaign was tested to provide consumers with a variety of actions to help them earn “Journey Marks” – an NFТ built on Polygon. Starbuсks Odyssey will roll out a series of benefits to beta users on April 24, which will offer benefits based on the number of points each user earns. Basic rewards include a virtual coffee making class or a donation to Feeding America to deliver meals to those in need.
According to the company, the launch of the Siren Collection, Starbucks’ first premium stamp, in March led to a rapid sell-out, with all 2,000 NFТs collected in less than 18 minutes. Siren NFТ, originally offered at $100 each, now starts at $500 each on the secondary market. To date, Starbucks NFТs have generated over $1 million in trading volume.
