After recent reports of the Orbiter Finance project’s Twitter account being compromised, the team has officially confirmed the situation.
Orbiter Finance has confirmed that its Twitter account is always secure and has not been hacked
Following the latest news about the project losing control of its Twitter account, the official team made a statement confirming this situation. According to the team’s statement, the cross-rollup layer-2 bridge Orbiter Finance’s Twitter account did not affect the project. With this development, the project management emphasizes that the security and the assets of its users are safe.
The link shared yesterday was presented as a joint event with the official BitKeep Wallet team. Currently, the event information has been temporarily suspended to prevent fraudulent use.
Orbiter Finance has also announced its collaboration with BitKeep, a decentralized multi-chain cryptocurrency wallet project, for a special airdrop.
At the beginning of June, Orbiter Finance’s Discord channel was hacked by malicious individuals, who provided a link to a fake airdrop program. This is the latest attack targeting the project.
The attackers swiftly carried out a fake ORB token launch and airdrop event announcement. They claimed to be giving away 5,000,000 ORB tokens to members of the Orbiter Finance community. The team stated that they made significant efforts to regain control of their Discord server and acknowledged the attack on Twitter.
It is a project that provides a cross-rollup bridge, a layer-2 infrastructure and an optimized project to enable decentralized transfer of assets on Ethereum. This project stands out with its low-cost and almost instant transfer speed.
