SEC Review Extended: CBOE Back with New Application
The NYSE plan was published for public comment in February 2024, and the SEC prolonged its review period several times before starting formal proceedings in April. However, the proposal was withdrawn by the exchange before a decision was reached.
According to records spotted by Bloomberg’s James Seyffart, CBOE, the venue for trading several Bitcoin ETFs, withdrew its application as well but subsequently re-filed with a significantly more comprehensive proposal. Regarding the matter, the SEC has not offered any public remarks or reviews.
