Crypto News – To improve the usability and security of its protocol, the Uniswap community has made a substantial advancement. With the V3 standard instances still in place, a proposal has been made to expand the deployment of Uniswap V2 across several blockchain networks.
Uniswap Multi-Chain V2-V3 Integration Proposal Receives Favorable Vote
With Uniswap V2 being primarily used on the Ethereum mainnet, there is currently a need for Automated Market Makers (AMMs) that operate in the V2 style on non-Ethereum networks. On these alternative chains, several V2 forks have appeared, however, they vary in their changes. Concern is raised because these adjustments may provide a safety risk to users.
In order to address this issue, the proposal offers integration of Uniswap V2 pools into standard routers, a move that is projected to improve application execution quality and enable frictionless transactions for router users.
To achieve uniformity, this strategy complements cross-chain governance systems. V2 deployments will be documented using a special ENS subdomain called v2deployments.uniswap.eth, which will include important addresses, including the target chain’s UniswapV2Factory contract address and the bridge sender contract.
How is the Vote on the Proposal?
The proposal has a 97.31% acceptance rating, according to the most recent data. Potentially, the current voting, which is scheduled to end on August 31, will lead to the subsequent stage.
On-chain voting will take place on September 1 if the temperature check vote is approved. It is anticipated that the plan will be implemented by September 12 if the subsequent on-chain vote is successful.
