Crypto Community Profits from Personal Tragedy as Mark Longo Launches JUSTICE Token
Mark Longo, the owner of the two pets whose untimely deaths sparked public outrage, has introduced his token less than a month after the story of Peanut the squirrel and Fred the raccoon made headlines. In a Twitter video, Longo discussed how he came to process Peanut and Fred’s story and how, in remembrance of his pets, he has chosen to introduce a new token on Solana named Justice for Pnut and Fred (JUSTICE).

Additionally, he claims that the cryptocurrency community has taken advantage of his personal tragedy. Longo declared, calling the experience one of the worst things he had ever gone through. Longo then announced the introduction of the new token after criticizing the supposed profit-making of the situation by the crypto community.

Mark Longo kept Fred the raccoon and Peanut the squirrel (P’Nut) in his animal sanctuary in Pine City, New York. P’Nut had more than 500,000 social media followers and was an online superstar. Citing regulations prohibiting the keeping of wildlife as pets, environmental police from New York State conducted a raid on Longo’s residence on October 30. After P’Nut allegedly bit someone during a seizure, both animals were put down on November 1. The incident became politically heated in the run-up to the presidential election and caused significant indignation.
