Crypto News– Immutable, the Web3 gaming platform, has forged a strategic alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS), broadening the horizons for game developers. AWS, a prominent cloud service provider, has expanded its startup accelerator programs, and Immutable has now become a part of this endeavor.
Immutable Links on AWS Propel Web3 Gaming Forward
In a blog post on October 10, Immutable announced its inclusion in AWS’s ISV (independent software vendors) Accelerate Program. This program is designed for companies offering software solutions that either run on or seamlessly integrate with AWS.
Furthermore, developers aiming to construct applications on Immutable’s blockchain can take advantage of AWS Activate. This program offers an array of benefits, including technical support, training, and a generous $100,000 in AWS cloud credits. John Kearney, the Head of Startups at AWS Australia, emphasized Immutable as a stellar example of a homegrown Australian startup that has achieved global success. This partnership underscores AWS’s strong commitment to advancing the development of Web3 games using its infrastructure.
Immutable has leveraged Amazon EventBridge and AWS Lambda, both of which are serverless services that employ events to connect various application components. This technical integration has substantially enhanced the platform’s scalability, empowering it to handle a tenfold increase in partnered games, as highlighted in the announcement.
Notably, concerns have previously arisen regarding the centralization of gaming within the Ethereum ecosystem and its heavy reliance on Amazon, which holds a dominant position in the cloud services market, capturing approximately one-third of the market share.
